Venus de Milo

rzeźba z metalu

Venus de Milo (25.VII.2024) metal sculpture.

The inspiration for the presented sculpture was the ancient sculpture of Venus de Milo from around 130-100 BC, found by a Greek peasant named Jorgos on April 8, 1820 near the theater in Adamas.

The original can currently be admired in the Louvre in Paris, where it was acquired thanks to, of course, the French, who, incidentally, allegedly deprived the woman of her upper limbs during a storm.

I welded the Venus de Milo sculpture from 13,093 stainless steel chain links, which I obtained by dismantling 310 meters of it, and it all took me three months. Thanks to this technique, the sculpture is characterized by its characteristic lightness and airiness, as well as a phenomenon thanks to which we can observe the sculpture both from the outside and from the inside.

In my own metal sculptures, I avoid the obvious or current trends. Above all, I focus on originality and uniqueness so that my effort does not get lost in the crowd of projects by other artists or craftsmen. It is the uniqueness and characteristic style of my works that guarantees you an increase in their value over the years. The metal sculpture “Venus de Milo” is part of this growing creative output and you can find more about me in my biogram
