The metal sculpture BOCIEK (2014.III) is not a cast as it might seem, but a combination of kilometers of weld (body), forged steel (feathers) and many hours of work. Its wingspan is 2m, weight 27kg. The Stork is the second figurative sculpture that I created after a fifteen-year period of ‘searching’, twists of fate and years of education mostly unrelated to sculpture. Just as a significant part of my original works is created by itself and I am only a tool in the process of creation, so in this particular case it turned out that my wife and I are expecting a firstborn son and in Polish culture the stork is a symbol of fertility and a harbinger of the arrival of a descendant. So the idea of ​​its creation was not a matter of chance but a harbinger.

In my original metal sculptures, I avoid the obvious or current trends. First of all, I focus on originality and uniqueness so that my effort does not get lost in the crowd of projects of other artists or craftsmen. It is the uniqueness and characteristic style of my works that guarantee you an increase in their value over the years.
