Chors

Chors (2014.VI) – the only lunar deity in the Pantheon. The god of the Moon, depicted against the background of his shield as a horned dog. The traditions tell us little about him except that he was one of the children of Svarog. He is identified with the vegetation cycle and water and forest demons. The influence of the Moon on the Earth and man is undeniable, and according to some theories, it was a part of it, so I couldn’t ignore this beautiful deity 🙂

The bas-relief was made of clay fired for 7 hours at a temperature of 1200̊C. It is resistant to weather conditions. Its lifespan, excluding harmful mechanical effects, is 2000-3000 years! I have been creating the pantheon of Slavic gods and demons since 2012. As a result, I had to deal with problems related to the safe delivery of the bas-reliefs to customers. During this time, many gods died at the hands of couriers… In order to win this war, I had to take a number of actions that brought the expected result and today my gods safely reach even the farthest corners of our planet! A friendly company makes specially designed packaging for me from five-layer cardboard, and the buffer between the box and the bas-relief is about 20 meters of bubble wrap.
