Myrmica

Metal sculpture Myrmica (27.X.2018) from the “Quadraginta” collection. One hot July morning of that year, I went out with coffee in front of my “atelier” to smoke a cigarette. I barely managed to catch a cloud when, near my right work boot, marked with hot steel, I noticed a strange object moving! It was a small ant (myrmica) carrying an insect wing in its mandibles. The day was windy, so with every gust it fell over, rose up and so on in circles, striding forward firmly with its wing vertically like a beginner, yet determined windsurfer on Lake Międzybrodzkie. So it was impossible to forget about this unusual sight! And since I have a prism of imagination mainly made of steel, the captured moment of this meeting was created from this material.

I made the sculpture using my own technique from sheet steel. It is the so-called weldedsculpture. It is intended for indoor use.

In my original metal sculptures, I avoid the obvious or current trends. Above all, I focus on originality and uniqueness so that my effort does not get lost in the crowd of projects by other creators or craftsmen. It is the uniqueness and characteristic style of my works that guarantee you an increase in their value over the years. The metal sculpture “Myrmica” is part of this growing body of work and you can find out more about me in biography
